About SisySisy Anderson is a painter. Born in Salem, Oregon, she studied and received her BA in Printmaking at Western Oregon University. She later earned her MS in Arts Administration from the University of Oregon. In recent years, Sisy has focused her artistic endeavors on Chinese Brush Painting. Her current work reflects this medium’s influence. She exhibits her work locally and regionally within Oregon and the Northwest. Her paintings have been part of solo and group venues, including the 2007 Oregon Bach Festival Exhibit in Eugene OR, and Lake Oswego’s Festival of the Arts in Lake Oswego, Oregon. In addition to her exhibit schedules, Sisy collaborates with the Jordan Schnitzer Art Museum on the University of Oregon‘s campus, where she teaches art classes from preschool age to adult. Sisy and her husband, photographer Scott Huette have recently completed construction on their backyard studio. Both plan to hold their annual Artisan Open House in December as well as children and adult workshops through out the year. |
